Update on FEMA Claims

It is important to note that the City of New Orleans through the City's Capital Projects Administration (CPA) is the Claimant with respect to the City's FEMA Claims in the West End Area. In 2015, FEMA requested that the City submit a "Marina Market Feasibility" (Study) as a requirement in order to resolve the Harbor Claim. The New Orleans Municipal Yacht Harbor Management Corporation (MYHMC) worked with CPA and the City's Bureau of Purchasing to develop a Request for Proposals (RFP) in order to procure the Study. The City's Selection Committee unanimously chose the Engineering Firm of Moffatt & Nichol to produce the Study which CPA has provided to FEMA, and it is now available to be viewed here: Marina Market Feasibility Study

 

The Proposed Redevelopment of the Municipal Yacht Harbor was presented by the City of New Orleans' Capital Projects Administration and Moffatt and Nichol at the November 14th MYHMC Board Meeting, along with diagrams with dimensions of the existing and proposed fairways:
